Mike Walsh lived a life of fierce passion and infectious curiosity. We continue his legacy through supporting emerging creative minds in their academic and professional pursuits.
Phase 1: The Scholarship
The Michael H. Walsh Scholarship will be awarded annually to graduating high school seniors showing academic interest and prowess in writing, literature, and the study of English. The annual scholarship begins with the class of 2025. Donations can be made here.
Phase 2: 501(c)3 Non-Profit
We are in the process of becoming a registered 501(c)3 non-profit in the state of Maine, which will enable Anthology 42 to apply for grant funding and accept tax deductible donations. Planning to complete the process by the end of 2024.
Phase 3: Additional Programming
We have big plans, but we’re moving pragmatically, just as Mike would do. Beginning fall 2024, we will offer virtual discussions with successful writers, editors, and professionals to illuminate career pathways. Future plans also include mentorship opportunities, in-person educational events, and additional scholarship opportunities for both students and individuals early in their careers.
